Blanchard Group Insurance
Blanchard Machinery Company's health plan offers comprehensive benefits designed to give full-time employees and their dependents maximum health care protection. Full-time employees receive Life Insurance in an amount of 150% of basic rate of annual salary, up to a maximum of $50,000.
Optional Benefits
Blanchard Machinery Company offers full-time employees the option of purchasing Dental Insurance, Long Term Disability Insurance, Short Term Disability, and Term Life Insurance.
401(K) Employee Saving/Retirement Plan
All employees, age 18 and over, who have completed one year of service and 1,000 hours with the Blanchard Machinery Company are eligible for the Employee Saving Plan. The plan is designed to give employees the opportunity to take advantage of Section 401(K) of the Internal Revenue Code. Under this law, you save money for retirement on a pretax basis, thereby realizing significant tax savings at the same time as you're saving for the future.
Your contributions are eligible for a Savings Match up to $800 per year. As of each December 31st, Blanchard may deposit a special Profit Sharing Contribution to every eligible employee's account whether you save in the Plan or not. You must be employed by the Blanchard on or before December 31st to receive the contribution. Our company savings match and profit sharing contribution are subject to a vesting schedule.
Workers' Compensation
Workers' Compensation was created to benefit the employee who sustains an injury or illness arising out of and in the course of his/her employment. Our Workers' Compensation benefits include medical expenses and, in case of disability, protection against total loss of income. Any injury, disease or death that is not job related will not be covered under Workers' Compensation. Blanchard pays for the entire cost of Workers' Compensation insurance.
Vacation & Holidays
Full-time employees receive one week vacation after the first twelve months of continuous employment, along with one personal day. Two weeks vacation may be taken after the first twenty-four months. Three weeks vacation may be taken after ten years continuous employment as of the end of the previous calendar year. Eight hours of regular pay are given for seven holidays each year.
Uniforms
Parts and Service Personnel, with the exception of clerical and management, will be required to wear company uniforms. Blanchard will pay 100% of the cost of these uniforms, including laundry charges.
