Apply NowIntroducing The Newest Model in The Caterpillar Vocational Truck Lineup, the CT680, Tough Enough For Any Job, Stylist Comfort in All Conditions
Blanchard is excited to announce the addition of a new model to the Cat Vocational Truck line. The CT680 is now available to enhance productivity for our customers.
The CT680 Class 8 set-forward axle model is ideal for hauling heavy loads, with more horsepower than any other Cat Vocational Truck. Expect the CT680 to hang tough on any terrain, with an aluminum alloy cab construction that reduces overall weight and optimizes cab life. CT680 is built with a CT Series Vocational Truck Engine and Cat CX31 Automatic Transmission to deliver durability while maximizing uptime, fuel economy and productivity. Customers can choose from truck or tractor configurations and two exterior trim levels.
While your CT680 tackles the job at hand, you’ll enjoy a smooth, quiet ride. CT680 comes with a tuned cab air suspension system, premium grade sound insulation kit, and durable routing and clipping wire system, which drastically reduce cab vibration and noise. It’s a safer ride, too—with a wraparound windshield and heated mirrors with integrated turn signals to enhance visibility.
Dave Schmitz, Cat Vocational Truck Product Manager, shared the motivation behind the new truck model: “Customers told us they wanted a truck they could work hard. The CT680 is as rugged as they come—built for heavy loads, hard jobs and harsh environments—but it still delivers shift-long comfort and a stylish appearance. Its bold design will set our customers apart from the crowd.”
Blanchard Truck Centers is proud to share that Caterpillar will now design and manufacture the entire Cat Vocational Truck line at the Cat plant in Victoria, Texas. For Blanchard, it’s only natural to provide our customers with domestically-made trucks tough enough to handle any American terrain.
“To continue to provide the best solution for our customers, we will bring the design and manufacturing of this product into Caterpillar, and the production specifically to Victoria,” said Chris Chadwick, Cat’s director of the Global On-Highway Truck Group. “Our updated strategy reaffirms our commitment to grow and develop our presence in the vocational truck industry moving forward.”
“The on-highway vocational truck product family is important to our product line; customers like our trucks and want to include them in their fleets in a variety of heavy duty applications such as dump trucks, mixers, haulers or one of the other configurations we offer.” said Chris Chadwick, Caterpillar’s director of the Global On-Highway Truck Group.
