Marinex Construction: A Blanchard Marine Partner

Marinex Construction is one of these companies. They’re in the business of fighting beach erosion, a condition that often involves the wearing away of sand by waves, currents and wind. Without their beach renourishment services, loss of sand can cause the beach to narrow in size and sink lower in elevation.

Beach renourishment is no easy task. It involves heavy duty equipment and 24/7 construction to rebuild and protect the shoreline. Marinex Construction is currently working on a beach project just like this.

Tom Payne, VP of Marinex, has been in the marine construction business for over 25 years.  He recently explained that a partnership with Blanchard is essential to getting the job done. When asked about equipment, Payne said they have “five of Blanchard’s D6 dozers on site, along with a frontend loader.  I buy used equipment from Blanchard to help keep our costs down. They do a great job searching for and finding the equipment we need.”

In addition to beach renourishment, Marinex Construction also offers harbor deepening and harbor improvements, helps maintain rivers and channels, offers shoreline protection, channel/fill dredging services, and dune restoration, along with dike construction and containment area management.
